Customizable Donation Form Discount Offer Terms & Conditions

*The Customizable Donation Form Discounted Offer (the “Offer”) is an exclusive offer for eligible charities where CanadaHelps will offer a discounted Customizable Donation Form transaction fee (the “Discounted Fee”) of 1.6% on eligible one-time and newly scheduled monthly donations made between the period of July 1st, 2024, at 12:01 A.M. Newfoundland Standard Time (NST) to December 31st, 2024 at 11:59 P.M. Pacific Standard Time (PST) (the “Promotional Period”). The standard Customizable Donation Form transaction fee (the “Standard Fee”) is 3.75% for one-time donations and 3.5% for monthly donations, as referenced in the CanadaHelps Client Services Agreement (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/canadahelps-client-agreement/), and published on the CanadaHelps Site at: https://canadahelps.org/en/for-charities/pricing/. The difference between the Standard Fee and the Discounted Fee on eligible donations will be provided in the form of an aggregated rebate, paid to charities electronically by January 31, 2025.

The Offer is only applicable to select charities (the “Eligible Charity”) that:
(1) have registered a CanadaHelps Charity Account, with Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) set up; and
(2) have received from CanadaHelps an email invitation to participate in the Offer (which invitation is non-transferrable); and
(3) completed the sign-up process for the Offer via the Offer registration page (https://forcharities.canadahelps.org/donation-forms-promo-offer) between May 21, 2024, 12:01 A.M. Newfoundland Standard Time (NST) and June 30, 2024, at 11:59 P.M. Pacific Standard Time (PST).

By registering a CanadaHelps Charity Account, you agree to be bound by the terms of the CanadaHelps Client Services Agreement: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/canadahelps-client-agreement/. For clarity, a charity that has not met all of the above requirements listed in 1, 2, and 3, will not be eligible to participate in the Offer and receive a rebate.

The maximum cumulative rebate a charity can receive via the Offer is $10,000 CAD. Once the maximum cumulative rebate of $10,000 CAD has been reached, charities will revert to the Standard Fee of 3.75% for one-time donations and 3.5% for monthly donations for any subsequent transactions during the Promotional Period and thereafter.

In order for a donation to be eligible for the Offer (“Eligible Donation”),:
(a) it must be a one-time donation or a newly scheduled monthly donation; and
(b) it must be made via CanadaHelps Customizable Donation Forms; and
(c) it must be made during the Promotional Period; and
(d) it must be processed no later than January 1st, 2025.

A newly scheduled monthly donation made by any donor who had an active monthly donation to the charity prior to June 30, 2024, is not an Eligible Donation. Donations of securities, on UniteforChange.com directed toward Cause Funds, and the redemption of Charity Gift Cards are not eligible.

In the event that an Eligible Donation is rejected or reversed following receipt by CanadaHelps for any reason, including payments made in error, credit card chargebacks, NSF, refund requests, suspected or actual fraud, in whole or in part, then,
(a) if the Eligible Donation rejection/reversal request occurs prior to disbursement of the rebate to the charity, then CanadaHelps will simply reduce the calculation of the rebate prior to payment to the charity
(b) if the Eligible Donation rejection/reversal occurs following payment of the rebate to the charity, then the charity will be liable to refund an amount equal to the portion of the rebate attributable to such rejected Eligible Donation and will reimburse CanadaHelps for any directly related out-of-pocket expenses and reasonable administrative costs incurred by CanadaHelps related thereto (collectively, the “Refund Amount”). After notifying you of the Refund Amount, CanadaHelps will debit the Client Account for the full Refund Amount via EFT, in accordance with the charity’s Banking Information Form.

CanadaHelps reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to end, suspend, reinstate or amend this Offer, in whole or in part, including adding or removing charities from the list of eligible charities for the Offer at any time, at any time without notice and for any reason whatsoever. If a charity is added or removed during the Promotional Period, the maximum cumulative amount of Rebate eligible will be prorated.

All decisions by CanadaHelps with respect to all aspects of this Offer will be final and binding in all respects. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these terms and conditions or any decision rendered by CanadaHelps, the decision or interpretation of CanadaHelps will prevail.
