DONATION PAYMENT TYPES

Payment options for a best-in-class donation process

Donors should have the options they want when making a donation – that’s why CanadaHelps offers the most popular payment types during the checkout process.

When converting supporters into donors, CanadaHelps has your payment options covered.

Credit Cards

Tried, tested, and true, credit cards are still donors' number one preferred method. All CanadaHelps donation forms accept Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards.

Google Pay & Apple Pay

Mobile-friendly forms are no longer enough - your donors want mobile-friendly payment types too! With the addition of Google Pay and Apple Pay, your donors now have access to all the payment options they want to see for the most flexible and fastest donation experience on many* CanadaHelps forms.

CanadaHelps CharityGift Cards

CanadaHelps Charity Gift Cards are perfect for any occasion. Recipients can redeem their gift cards by simply picking which charities they would like to support and entering the card details in the checkout flow.

PayPal

Most people have a PayPal account these days, so offering the option to complete a donation using PayPal can help potential donors feel safe and comfortable. Donors would simply log in to their PayPal account and confirm their donation; that’s it!

CanadaHelps Express Checkout

Many donors already have a CanadaHelps account. They can opt to save their checkout details to their CanadaHelps account and use express checkout using their credit card information on file.

*Google Pay and Apple Pay are now available on CanadaHelps.org, UniteforChange.com and most Customizable Donation Forms. Exclusions include: (1) The Google Pay option is unavailable to donors setting up a monthly donation. We have been told by the vendor that a technical solution is coming later this year and will look to extend Google Pay to monthly donations at that time. (2) Apple Pay is not available on embedded forms. We are exploring technical solutions to expand our integration in future. Stay tuned!
