The 7th Great Canadian Giving Challenge has officially wrapped up and we’re pleased to announce this year’s results. In June, over 16,000 charities across the country raised more than $26.2 MILLION through CanadaHelps!
From June 1 – 30, every dollar charities raised through CanadaHelps.org and CanadaHelps fundraising tools was a chance to win a big $20,000 prize donation.
Canadians and charities both stepped up to help make this the third biggest giving month of the year (just behind GivingTuesday and December). We want to thank everyone who participated for making this another successful Giving Challenge, and we can’t wait to do it all again in June 2022!
CONGRATULATIONS to Community Care Peterborough for winning $20,000 from the 2021 Great Canadian Giving Challenge!
Based in Ontario, Community Care Peterborough supports seniors and adults living with physical challenges in the community. With a small team of staff and over 700 active volunteers, it supports thousands of clients in the Peterborough area.
“We are so thrilled to win the Great Canadian Giving Challenge! For over 30 years and of course, throughout the COVID pandemic, we have been supporting seniors and adults with disabilities to remain safely in their own homes. These dollars will allow us to continue to operate our programs like Meals on Wheels, telephone security checks, and transportation services to medical appointments.”
