How to Resend Tax Receipts to Donors

When it comes to tax time, you want to help make it as stress-free as possible for your donors. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple gesture like resending donation tax receipts directly to donors who may have lost or misplaced them.

CanadaHelps takes care of tax receipts on your behalf by sending them directly to your donors or saving them in your donor’s account. However, you probably receive phone calls and emails from some donors asking if you can send them again. You’re in luck: with the Resend Tax Receipt* feature in your CanadaHelps charity account, any user from your organization can do just that!

Follow these 4 easy steps to quickly resend tax receipts to charitable donors

1. Login to your CanadaHelps charity account, then go to the Donation Reports tab.

2. Scroll down to the “Donation Summary” section and find the donor on the list.

Alternatively, you can use the search bar to look for the donor.

3. Click “Resend Tax Receipt” under the “Actions” column, next to the donor’s details.

A pop-up prompt will appear to verify the email address that the tax receipt will be sent to. Click “Send Receipt” and your donor will receive it in a matter of seconds.

4. You will receive another confirmation that the tax receipt has been sent.

You can close the pop-up.

It only takes a few steps to resend tax receipts to your donors whenever they ask. Login to your CanadaHelps account and be sure to use this convenient CanadaHelps feature so you can make tax time easier for both you and your donors.
