Standing with you during these uncertain times
Dear Charity Partners,
As the world struggles with the COVID-19 pandemic, we know that you may be worried about the health of your employees and clients, your families, and your communities, but also about the economic challenges and uncertainty that lie ahead. Today I want to remind you that our whole team at CanadaHelps is here to support you through this and we’re committed to helping you in every way we can.
Our team has gone virtual to keep everyone healthy and reduce the spread of the virus for the sake of our community; our Charity and Donor Relations team and Engagement team are fully equipped to support you and your donors remotely. If you need help to set up a timely fundraising campaign, or to take your planned P2P or Event virtual, please get in touch with our Charity Engagement Team.
Across Canada, we’re seeing inspiring examples of Canadians pulling together to protect and help their communities and help each other; people are looking for ways to help in this uncertain time. Reach out to your donors and networks and share how you are responding to the COVID crisis, or remind your supporters of the vital role you play in your community year-round and that their support can help your organization weather this storm. (Also, if you have a campaign responding to COVID, we want to support it and know about it.)
Our team is also working on a number of additional resources to support your online fundraising through the coming months, including a webinar this Thursday with some of Canada’s top fundraising experts. More resources will be released soon, and you can also access all our existing resources here.
We’ve also moved up the launch of our planned Canadian Charities Connect Facebook Group so you can share knowledge and ideas about online fundraising with your sector colleagues. Building these connections will support your success in your work, but also build much needed online community while many of us are feeling isolated. You can join the group here.
We’ve come through other tough times together over the last 20 years, but the power of technology means we can do even more to support you. The world looks uncertain at the moment, but the power of communities of people pulling together to help each other and to be there for each other can overcome anything – I know that first hand as someone who has gone through many major political and social upheavals growing up outside Canada.
Let us know what you need and how we can help you.
May you stay healthy and strong,
